iMonitor+ ATM Kenya is a digital health solution platform developed by AMREF and community and civil society partners, powered by Dure Technologies, to enhance and support community-led monitoring of the TB response. Respect for your privacy and confidentiality is key to the success of community-led monitoring. This iMonitor+ ATM Kenya Privacy Policy is therefore meant to help you understand what information iMonitor+ ATM Kenya collects from you, how the information is used, where the information is stored, with whom the information is shared, and how you can manage or delete your information.

What kinds of information does iMonitor+ ATM Kenya collect?

iMonitor+ ATM Kenya collects six kinds of information:

  1. Personal Information: This is collected in the Registration Form which appears in your User Profile. It may include your age, gender, type of user, kind of TB, whether you identify as a TB key population, and information about your health facility. If you identify as a TB key population, you may also provide personal information about your occupation, income status, legal status as a prisoner, immigration status, drug use, disability, or ethnicity.
  2. Geolocation Data: If you allow it, iMonitor+ ATM Kenya collects data about the location of your device using GPS.
  3. Health Information: This includes details you provide about your TB, HIV status, your health care, the health care of your family or close contacts, and possibly other health-related information.
  4. Chat Information: Information you provide when you chat with other users in the Get Connected section.
  5. Report Information: Information provided when you submit a report about a TB Challenge in the Get Involved section.
  6. Device Information: Includes unique identifiers, browser type and settings, device type and settings, and operating system.

How does iMonitor+ ATM Kenya use your information?

Where is your information stored, who stores it, and for how long?

The information iMonitor+ ATM Kenya collects is stored as digital data by a commercial cloud computing service owned and controlled by Dure Technologies, Microsoft Azure. Data is stored on physical servers in the USA, with some data potentially stored locally in your country. The information is stored for as long as the project is operational in your country or until you request to delete your account and data.

How is your information shared?

Information is generally accessible only to the individuals involved in the project within the implementing organization. When shared outside, including with government authorities, data is de-identified and aggregated. Information from chats in the Get Connected section is not shared beyond the users you chat with and the forum moderator.

How can you manage or delete your information or contact the AMREF or Dure Technologies?

You can manage or delete your iMonitor+ ATM Kenya account or information by filling out the form available here. Requests will be addressed within 30 days. De-identified and aggregated data cannot be deleted but is difficult to trace back to you.
